I am an unrepentant, neurotic sweet tooth. I have never met a cookie I didn’t like, I think apples are overrated, I’m freaked out by gelatin, went to pastry school and have never used a mix. The first thing I ever baked was a chocolate chip cookie pie, I was three and it cooked by the light bulb of my Suzy Homemaker oven. The most recent thing I've made, when I was a lot more than three, is whatever I'm writing about today. And in between I’ve been feeding others, and calming myself, with more desserts than I can count. The moral of my story? Butter, flour, sugar and eggs are better than Xanax.
